Tasty Ashaninka coffee beans now available

20 November 2007

Ecotribal's second import of coffee arrived at Tilbury Docks on November 17th, 2007.

We have all been waiting some time for these delicious beans.

Selected by Dilwyn and Carlos last June, and purchased in July, they were grown by just a few members of the Ashaninka Coffee Producers Association of Shanquibironi.

The beans have been grown to organic standards (most of our stocks were certified to a German Bio-standard which includes additional protection of local flora and fauna) and the prices agreed with the producers were slightly higher than standard FairTrade prices.   The coffee plants grow in the shade of forest canopy on the upper slopes (800-1200m above sea level) of the Perene Valley in the central Peruivian Amazon region.

Ecotribal hopes to get roasting before Christmas - so place your orders now for these delicious Amazon coffee beans now!
